ANAM CARA CAVALIERS

Anam Cara is gaelic for "Soul Friend". Our kennel is devoted only to Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Our mission is to improve the breed by producing the best quality and good temperament dogs along with educating the public about the breed.

We are located in northern New Jersey 25 miles from New York City. We are a member of the AKC National Club and follow all the health and  breeding requirements of the club.

We bred Shih Tzu's and stopped breeding over twenty five years ago. We wrote a book "The Shih Tzu".  We fell in love with Cavaliers King Charles Spaniels and after they got recognized by the AKC we decided to build the kennel to support our "Soul Friends".
