Training your Cavalier
Your relationship with your dog is akin to raising a child. You teach your child what food to eat, exercise to stay healthy, and most of all how to interact with you and other people in a positive way.
You do not want your relationship with your dog to be you scolding your dog all day long. Fortunately you have an eager pupil and many resources to help you.
One of the resources I like best are books and a web site for Dog's Best Friend Training, founded in 1988 by Patricia McConnell, Ph.D. It is dedicated to enriching the lives of dogs and their owners through using positive reinforcement-based techniques to influence their dogs' behavior.
